Rogers Arkansas Autocross August 26, 2012

And now it's time for the long overdue post about the Arkansas Show and Go sponsored autocross that took place at the Frisco Station Mall. It rained that day. A lot. Luckily, that didn't stop the organizers from calling it off. They did take a break and add a few extra cones when one of the competitors spun out onto a curb during the heaviest portion of rain. None of the times were competitive or significant but it was very entertaining to watch. After a while the rain did let up, and the parking lot dried up.

060061 098 This 335 was looking good driving through the lake. Interesting choice of licence plate too. 085 073 072 This Scooby was running very impressively in the wet. Then again, it did have a huge advantage with the AWD. 084 071 Obviously this vette could not get the power down very well. 283 282 Yes, there was a very new FR-S participating. No, it did not do very good with all the rain. Yes, I want to buy one very badly. No, I cannot afford to insure one.

Video of a Datsun 510 and the above mentioned FR-S.

Very slick 240sx. KA-T running on E85. Obviously there were some traction issues. Ran a 46.514 second pass when it dried up.

Very sick sounding Camaro. Yet another car that had some issues putting down power.
