And now to post the remainder of the pictures and videos I took at the Arkansas Show and Go autocross in Rogers, Arkansas. It took me way too long. But it's okay, my excuse is having two jobs.
Just a sample of the leftover pictures I have, click read more for all of them. Plus some video.
Fairly well modded Eclipse. Not the typical hack job you see done to these things.
A car that his been on this blog before, still sounded very mean, but this time, despite the lake like conditions was a lot better controlled and a lot less tail out.
I love 2003-04 Cobras. The video above was not taken by me, but by the owner of the car. I love supercharger whine.
Did I mention I love 2003-04 Cobras? Did I mention I love supercharger whine?
I don't blame this owner for taping this car up. Gotta do what you gotta do to protect your investment.
This 280Z was nuts. LS1 swap. No mufflers. Exhaust straight through the hood. This is what I'm talking about.
Scooby love.
This Civic did quite well, 43.562 which was good enough for 4th place.
The 1 series is very neat. Some would argue its kind of ugly, but I think it looks great.
A clean and gorgeous 240Z out running around.
The owner of this Cobalt SS turbocharged nicknamed it the "slobalt," if I remember correctly. I think it's pushing slightly more boost then stock.
Nice to see a CRZ out there tearing it up.
This Civic was apperantly for sale.
Well prepared Civic. This is actually my favorite generation/body style of Civic.
The announcer made a lot "still under warranty" jokes. If I was to stop being a wuss and run my car, this would have been my main competition.
This BMW 3 series managed to post a 43.688 which was fast enough for 5th place.
Very sinister looking C6 Corvette.
I saved the best for last. This RX7 always seems to run very strong. But I am told he has been doing autocross for a long time. This car has some very light mods, and is running race slicks. Only problem with running race slick is this though:
The car was unharmed. When I told him I got video of him spinning out and crashing, I think I may have spurred him into doing very very well. When it dried up, he claimed first overall. 40.875, A very huge margin from the next best competitor.
